Kate Beckinsale actually never fihesnid at Oxford (Hugh Grant was also there). Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, and Hugh Laurie all come from Cambridge. The thing about celebrities and there's a similar phenomenon for Susan Boyle-esque ugly' people, is that we seem to get amazed when we find out some of them can do other things. Of course, thousands of attractive, successive, multi-faceted and multi-talented people graduate from Ivy-League (or similar) schools every year but they seem so less impressive (and of course, are not mentioned). It's like the Susan Boyle Phenomenon: What? You're telling me that she's ugly and she can sing? Get out!!
